WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

We serve an amazing God! If it's your first time at AFBC, you are our honored guest. We want you to know what to expect.

We want Albuquerque's First Baptist Church to be a place you can call home. We are here to build community as we live out God's command to make disciples of Jesus Christ together. Our First Impressions Team will welcome you, give you a tour, help you find a seat and answer any questions you have.

We are here to serve YOU. We want you to feel comfortable and welcome, whether you've been around church your entire life or this is your first experience.

AFBC has something for you and your family.  From corporate worship services to small groups for all ages, we are here to live in community and grow in Christ. You'll find a relaxed atmosphere that's family friendly. Our Worship Team works hard to create a meaningful time for you to connect with God. Messages are biblically based and relevant. We want you to connect with a small group and to grow in the Word.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe in the Holy Scriptures and the inerrancy and completeness of Scripture.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17, Revelation 22:18-19);

Jesus was born through the virgin birth.

(Matthew 1:18);

God is triune - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - known as the "Trinity."

(2 Corinthians 13:14);

We believe in the Deity of Jesus.

(John 1:14);

We believe in the substitutional death of Jesus.

(1 Peter 2:24);

We believe in the power of Jesus' blood, and in the eternal security of believers.

Ephesians 1:7, 1 John 5:11-13

We believe salvation is by faith alone.

Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe man lives once but is judged.

Hebrews 9:27, 2 Corinthians 5:10

Eternity is how long we are created to exist with God.

We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation.

  • To be eternally separated from God is hell.
  • To be eternally in union with Him is heaven.
  • Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

John 3:16, John 14:1-3, Revelation 20:5, 10, and 15, 1 John 2:25, 1 John 5:11-13
