Here at Albuquerque's First Baptist Church, we believe:

In the Holy Scriptures and the inerrancy and completeness of scripture (II Timothy 3:16-17, Revelation 22:18-19);

Jesus was born through the Virgin Birth (Matthew 1:18);

God is triune - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - known as the "Trinity" (II Corinthians 13:14);

In the Deity of Jesus (John 1:14);

In the substitutional death of Jesus (I Peter 2:24);

In the power of Jesus' blood (Ephesians 1:7);

In the eternal security of believers (I John 5:11-13);

Salvation is by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9);

Man lives once but is judged (Hebrews 9:27, II Corinthians 5:10);

Eternity is how long we are created to exist with God.  We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation.  To be eternally separated from God is hell.  To be eternally in union with Him is heaven.  Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence (John 3:16, John 14:1-3, Revelation 20:5, 10, and 15, I John 2:25, I John 5:11-13).
